Healthy Routines – Qi Gong

The whole of last week was filled with earlier calls than usual and a lot of team planning.

My Qi Gong practice felt like what the doctor had ordered.

My intention for the practice was to be present and to try get better with each step. I allowed myself to not be judgmental even if I got any of the steps wrong. I actually felt that there was more fluidity within me, also less tripping on my part while trying to follow the video!!

There was a sense of wonder and a sense of flow within each movement, that allowed me to realize that all those movements are not isolated movements. All those movements are part of the whole.

In order for me to be able to flow, I had to call on to each part fo the body and mind into the present moment. I was able to feel the flow and the movement in such a different manner than in the past, which it was always choppy. I guess trying to pursue getting everything perfect blocks the flow.

As I finished the practice, I felt so much gratitude not only for the practice, but for allowing me to be present.

Whenever I allow myself to be in the moment while I’m at work, instead of multi-tasking (something we tend to do when on conference calls), it ends up being more beneficial.

We tend to think that if we multi-task, we are doing more, but instead we are just creating distraction within the moment.
