Welcome 2023!
I woke up with a headache today, and I have to clarify that I didn’t party last night. The headache was a good reminder that I should do some self caring today, specially being that it is the beginning of the year and it is a Sunday!
The best action to take? Rest and relax. The suggestion was to take a bath with with epson salts and hot water and just sink into it while letting my muscles relax. I have to say that it wasn’t my idea my other half was the one that suggested it. As I tried to let the muscles in my neck relax I started thinking about setting up my daily intentions. We always feel that we have to start the year by doing things, such as going to the gym, or starting with one of those new year resolutions.
When I refer to intentions I am not talking about resolutions. I am talking about setting intentions that will bring me and those around me a better quality of life. The truth is that it is just another regular day but one that brings us to reflect on our past decisions and our past habits. It is a change to sort of ‘change our ways’. Instead, I look at it as another day when we get a chance to be grateful. What better way to do that than by setting daily intentions.
