Healthy Routines,  Yoga Nidra

What to do when vacations come to an end?

After a summer filled with activities, visiting with family and work we finally took some time off and traveled to attend a friend’s long planned wedding. This presented as the perfect opportunity to plan time to wind down and connect with others. Their wedding was beautiful, filled with love and joy, and of course lots of dancing. I danced until I got blisters! When it comes to dancing I don’t understand the word moderation 😉

We took advantage of our trip and decided to see new places, enjoy food, relax, recharge and celebrate with family and friends. Walking was one of the daily activities that I looked forward to do every day as well as dipping my feet in the sand. Getting in touch with nature, especially the ocean, is one of the best treats you can give yourself when you go away on holidays. There is nothing more embracing than letting the Caribbean ocean cool you off.

Getting back from a holiday is always an adjustment and getting back to “normal” can take you back to your old routines. It is hard to believe that it has already been a month! It feels more like 5 months have already gone by. Most of us have things to do on the weekends that revolve around taking care of our homes, our kids, our pets, and so on. Although all of these things require our full attention, sometimes we forget about finding time to connect and recharge.

These past weekends have been a blend of balance between reconnecting with friends and settling down after a very active and beautiful summer. It has been a good reminder that these are excellent ways of recharging and creating balance in our lives. If we spend too much time working then other areas of our life are affected. If we don’t have a purpose, such as a fulfilling job, then our lives get affected as well. We have to keep in mind that not only does our body need to recharge but our mind as well.

So schedule that coffee date with your friend or drive over to their house and share a couple of hours together!

Instead of taking your phone to the usual scroll, take a scroll down by a park near you!

You can also enjoy a session of Yoga Nidra!!!! If you are interested DM me on instagram and we can set one up.
